Hobson aka Weasel

For those of you who know me, you know that I LOVE MY CAT. My cat's name is Hobson and he is the cutest little guy ever. Hobson was a Christmas present two years ago and he has stolen my heart. He is so snuggly and I just love taking cat naps with him. Poor Hobson got into a fight and had to get surgery on his eye and it was really sad : ( But I wanted to share some picture of my sweetheart because he's too cute not to share all these with you!

Never Stop

I have been listen to this song I love by SafetySuit called, Never Stop. For those of you who haven't heard it, please go listen to it. Both versions are amazing but this one is my favorite.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdqjv5gA4MM

It really is an amazing love song. Anyways it got me thinking about how scared I was to get married. My childhood was full of divorces and I grew up with that becoming my biggest fear. Until I found Travis. Something about him made me at peace with spending the rest of my life with him because I know he would never hurt me. Obviously we are both human and have hurt each other in the past and I'm sure we will in the future. He's the only person I know without a shadow of a doubt that will never leave, or give up on me. He will never stop loving me. He hasn't, since we were 16. I just pray that everyone can find that person that will never stop choosing them, because that feeling can not be topped by anything else. Knowing that everyday when your husband wakes up, he chooses you. To love you, fight with you, cuddle with you, everything, with YOU. Finding Travis was the greatest blessing in my life and I can't wait to see where our journey takes us. I will never stop choosing him.

The Nannying Life.

Since July I have been nannying for a man named Matt. He has 4 kids and they are the greatest! The oldest is Kaiya, who just turned 12. She is so full of life and the best soccer player I've ever seen. The second is Taj, who is 9 (almost 10). He is the only boy and takes pride in being tougher than all his sisters and loves to show off his muscles. Marley is next and she is 6. She is the funniest one by far! She is the most emotional and very girly but she always gives me something to laugh about. Liv is the youngest and she is 4. She always has energy and loves to snuggle and relax while listening to music. I just love working with these kids because they are so much fun. I wanted to write a post about our recent trip to California. We left on Friday and drove there. Yes, I was in a car with not only them but two more friends, for 12 hours... It was rough, but luckily they slept for the last 4 hours. Then when we got to San Diego we checked into our hotel and then got all the kids to bed and I slept great! I was woken up early by little voices and we all got ready and headed out to Lego Land. While at Lego Land we went on roller coasters and looked at mini villages made out of lego's and it was a lot of fun. After that we went to Denny's for dinner and that was delicious. PS. we ate so much junk food at the park, mmm yummy yummy! Then we went to our hotel and swam for a little bit, then Matt and his friend Melanie went to a concert so it was just me and 6 kids. I know it sounds like hell, but it wasn't bad at all. The room was too hot so I went and got us all ice, then we all chewed on ice to cool down and then while watching a movie all the kids (and myself) fell asleep. We woke up the next morning and went to my favorite park, Sea World. We had so much fun! We ran over to the Atlantis ride and since there wasn't a line we went on that 4 times. Then we went and watched the Sea Lion show then to the Dolphin show and then to the Shamu Show. The kids all loved this so much it was so fun to see all their excitement with all the tricks from the sea creatures. Then we went on some more rides and then it was time for me to head home. So I left the park and took a taxi to the airport and flew home. I was so nervous to get on the plane. I just kept imagining it crashing and never seeing Travis again. I had a mild panic attack but was fine in the end. My sweet husband picked me up and it was so good to see him again. Yes, 3 days is FAR too long to not see him. We went to dinner at Arby's and then headed home and I got to finally fall asleep in his arms again. I had so much fun in California and wanted to share some pictures with you guys! I hope you enjoy them!

Running fools:)

Well my best friend Mrs. Amanda Grace Call Peterson has brought to my attention that I have been a horrible blogger. Sorry sorry! Through the next few days I will play catch up on everything that's been happening:) first catch up post : Running:) I have been training for a half marathon and running a lot!! I have done two races to help my build up to my half! I did a 10K called the dirty dash! It's a course entirely in mud and it's become a Thomas family tradition already!! It was so much fun! Seriously exhausting, but a blast! The other race I did was a 5K called color me rad! It's like a marriage between the festival of colors and a race! It's crazy!! I ran my personal best 5K at 23:27 which I was really proud of! I'm hoping I can reach my goal of a 20 minute 5K and another half marathon by next summer! I will set a goal for my time for my half but I don't have a start time to go off of until next Saturday!:) here are some pictures of my running adventures!:) ps love you Amanda! ( I think you're the only person who reads this thing..)

Well everyone, tomorrow I go through the temple and receive my endowments:) I am very excited! It marks the 15 year anniversary of my mom dying and I can't think of a better way to spend it or to feel closer to her! I am not too thrilled about the garments, but I am ready for the adjustment! Ill make sure to write a post tomorrow but I just wanted to say how thankful I am to have this restored church on this earth and be able to make covenants so I can be with Travis and our future children for all eternity:)

Nannying

Well this week has been a real adventure! Last Monday I went over to Trav's aunt and uncle's house and nannied for them. They were going on a trip to Mexico! They have 4 kids who are spoiled and very hard to handle! I was with them from Tuesday to Sunday and it was rough! To say the least. Their oldest child is Aaron. The only boy and he's 9. Then there is Mari who is 7. Eva is 4. And Afton is 1 almost 2. Aaron and Mari just fought the whole time. Eva was a cry baby. And Afton had the stomach flu. So you can imagine how her diapers looked ALL WEEK. Then I got sick from Afton and was throwing up myself. It was really hard and very exhausting! I don't know how single moms can do that. I have a whole new respect for them and specifically my mom. My mom was amazing! She would go to work in the mornings. Go through radiation during her lunch break. Back to work. Then home to take care of my little brother and I all by herself. She was an incredible mom and I hope I can be half the woman she was. I've been missing her a lot lately. Planning a wedding really makes me wish she was still with me. By my side through it all. I know she is, but it's different. Anyways this last week was the most challenging I've had in a long while because of those kids! But I made $800 so I can't complain too much!:) here are some picture of the kidos!

Dresses :)

Yesterday I got both of my wedding dresses! The one I will wear for our reception and the one I will wear in the temple:) it was such a special day! I went to David's Bridal in Orem and tried on my wedding dress! It fit perfect and looked amazing! I love it! Then I drove up to Bountiful and met up with my grandparents and we went to lunch at Rpbintino's which is my favorite restaurant! Then we went to City Creek and went to the distribution center in Desert Book. I had been missing my mom a lot because I wanted her to be there with me. When we got in the lady that helped us had a name tag with Jody on it:) it was amazing to see Heavenly Father making it clear that my mom was right by my side. It brought me to tears. It also let me know that I was making the right decision in going through the temple. I got all my temple clothes and garments and a very cute temple bag. My grandparents paid for everything and they were so sweet about it! I love them so much:) yesterday was amazing! I loved every minute of it! Here is a picture of my wedding dress:)

Soulmates:)

I truly believe Travis and I are soulmates:) We think alike, talk alike, and say the same things and the same time. Nobody in this entire world makes me happier than he does! I just wanted to show this picture to give you guys an idea of just how alike we are sometimes :) I can't wait to marry him! We have had an amazing last couple of days and everything is just fitting into place! 57 more days! I hope it flies by!

I love you.

January 18, 2013

This day changed my life forever. It seemed like just any other day. We went to lunch at Astroburger and then made plans to go to Park City because it was the Sundance Film Festival and we wanted to look for famous people. We had pizza up there and walked around and had so much fun! Then we went home and went to my big sister's art show at UVU. After that we had dinner at Cafe Rio. (Yes, we ate way too much food that day!) Then we went to bed bath and beyond and Smiths to look for bedspreads. We found one we liked and bought it. I felt amazing because this was our first big purchase that was dealing with our future. Then we went back to his house and went upstairs to hang out with all of his friends. Slowly they all started going downstairs until it was just Travis and I upstairs. He stood up to get his drink and then pulled out 2 dozen roses from behind the couch. Surprise! Then it clicked in my head...this is happening right now. He motioned me to come over and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes and when we went downstairs to show everyone, there was cake and balloons and ice cream all set up. It was amazing! I was completely shocked and so so happy. Getting engaged was the best day of my life so far and I can't imagine how happy I am going to be on our wedding day. I love Travis and I am so excited to be his wife!

Love Story.

Our Love Story:
Before I start posting all about our happily ever after I think I should let you know our background and how our love story started. In August 2008, Travis and I ran into each other at the Alpine Day's fireworks. He suggested we hang out and of course I was all for it! We exchanged numbers and I texted him the next day. We then made plans to hang out and everything went amazing. We met up outside of Roxberry in American Fork and then drove to a church parking lot and I taught him how to drive a stick shift. Then we went back to his house and watched I am Legend. The entire movie we had our hands on our thighs just waiting for the other to make the first move. Then towards the end of the movie we finally held hands and since it was so close to the end we awkwardly watched the credits and laughed at the unique names. Then I went home on cloud nine and couldn't believe I had just held hands with the famous Travis Thomas! He texted me after I left and was being so cute I could hardly stand it. Then the next day I told him that I was going to a wedding with my family and he wanted to come with us. So we got all dressed up and went to the wedding together. We had so much fun laughing and eating crepes and rose petals. Yes, we ate rose petals! Then we went to Westfield Elementary and looked at the stars and hugged a lot. Then I went to drop him off at his house and this is where the magic happens! He was leaving to go hunting the next day and wouldn't be back until the second day of school. We were saying goodbye and he told he was going to miss me. It seemed a little fast to already be saying stuff like that but I was loving every second of it. Then he leaned in and kissed me! I was so happy! I then called my best friend Maddi  Henneman on the phone and we both freaked out. Then school started and when he got home we became inseparable. We did everything together and had the time of our lives. We went to many dances and always had a blast. We broke up in February of our senior year and had a very hard time staying apart. We ended up fighting to the point where we just didn't even want to talk to each other. Then after a summer apart he texted me and told me he wanted to spend a day together before he left on his mission. So we went out to lunch and picked up his jacket for his mission. Then when we went to go home and we hugged for a long time and he kissed me on my forehead. I was still head over heels in love with him and hoping he felt the same way. Then he had his mission farewell and that's where we said our final goodbye. He then left for South Dakota and I firmly believed Travis and I were over. Then we started writing and the flame picked up right where it left off. Through many letters, emails, and packages we formed a relationship much stronger than any we had ever had. We fell deeply back in love with each other. Then after a long wait we were able to be reunited on November 8, 2012. All the emotions came rushing back and I knew this was the man I was destined to spend the rest of eternity with. After two weeks we started talking about getting married and went ring shopping. Then on January 18, 2013 Travis asked me to be his wife and I said of course! We will be sealed for time and all eternity on May 18, 2013 in the Draper Temple. I can't wait to continue our love story!
